We’re cooking at Prisco’s!!! Join us for a new series of cooking classes to expand your food knowledge, inspire you with new ideas, have fun and help you create many happy memories in your kitchen. Phyllis Kramer is ready to impart exciting & delicious kitchen wisdom - sign up & join the fun.
Classes will be held in the grocery store café area. Registration fee is listed in the class description. All participants will also receive a $5.00 coupon toward the purchase of food used in each class. To register call the store at 630-264-9400. Pasta Perfection!!!

Have you tried the frozen stuffed pastas prepared exclusively for Prisco’s?
In today’s class Phyllis will use them to create fabulous main-dish meals perfect for your family or for entertaining happy guests. Just make the sauce & dinner is ready. You will learn how to prepare: Wild Mushroom Tortellacci(large tortellini) with Sausage, Mushroom &Asiago Sauce; Goat Cheese & Roasted Red Pepper Ravioli topped with Spicy Shrimp Sauce; Rotolo(a tri-color pasta roll stuffed with ricotta & vegetables) surrounded with a creamy Tomato Vodka Sauce &White Bean Stew with Spinach & Pancetta served over Potato Gnocchi. In addition you will sample Chianti Beef Ravioli, Roasted Garlic Agnolotti, Sausage & Broccoli Ravioli & more. We’ll have a nice, big salad & some crusty bread while Rob pours glasses of his favorite Italian wines & beers. This is a perfect way to have hearty meals in a hurry! Don’t miss this one!

Oh those popular books! We’ll do a little whimsical celebrating of our own tonight while Phyllis transforms chicken by boning, trussing, brining, spatchcocking(butterflying)& using rubs. You will also learn how to prepare Coquettish Croquettes; Inner Greek Goddess Chicken-Artichoke Bake; Spicy Poblano Chicken Chili; Glazed Sticky Chicken Fingers; Juicy Moroccan Thighs & a discussion of-Chicken Under the Covers (Chicken Spinach Phyllo Pie). Rob is smiling while heintroduces us to all of his favorite wines. Our “Happy Ending”, a delicious dessert!! Lots of fun tonight. Join us!

Spring & Summer Cocktail Party Class
Friday evening April 12, 2013-6:30pm$45
So many of our students requested more appetizer ideas for casual celebrations so Phyllis has prepared some deliciousness! These appetizers & small plates can be prepared ahead & many served at room temperature. This class will help you have fun at your own party!
Tonight you will learn how to prepare: Salmon Salad Cups with Fennel Slaw; Pork Loin Canapes with Jack Daniel's Whiskey Sauce; Bacon Cheddar Popcorn; Roasted, stuffed Eggplant Rollatini; Mini Ratatouille Meatloaf Sliders; Watermelon, Tomato & Basil Kebabs; Truffle-Cheese Fondue with Fresh Vegetables for Dipping; Chocolate Covered Bacon; Espresso Chocolate Mousse with Orange Mascarpone Cream. Rob's drink specialty tonight will be Prosecco Mojitos! Sign up early!!!

The craft beer department has become Prisco’s fastest growing department, and we’re riding the wave by offering another craft beer event. Gary Nazzarini from Glunz Beer and Andy have put together an exciting tasting menu that’s sure to please. You’ll taste eight wonderful beers while Gary discusses everything from production processes to food pairings. We’ll also be sampling various snacks and appetizers along the way. You’re sure to taste something different and learn something new. This class will run approximately one hour, and is limited to 20 people.
